Elisabetta Fantone - A woman who is not afraid to dare

Since her appearance on Loft Story in 2006, Montrealer Elisabetta Fantone has made a name for herself... and not just in Quebec! From actress to painter, she is also a full-time mom and a wonderful source of inspiration!
It was in the charming city of Montreal that she was born into a family of four children with Italian parents. She lived there for many years of her youth before returning to settle in Montreal. From there, her journey is very impressive!

It was in the popular show Loft Story in 2006 that Elisabetta became known to the general public. If one might have thought that her story would end there, it definitely was not the case! Following her appearance on the show, she published an autobiography entitled Journal intime d'une lofteuse and her first single was released on MC Mario's album Mixdown 2007. No rest for the former lofteuse!
In addition to a career as a model and actress, Elisabetta is known for her talent as a painter. As you can see in the images above, she has a style she describes as "pop art" and is exhibited in galleries across Canada and the United States. Impressive!

Of course, you recognize her today for her participation in the show XOXO, broadcast on Wednesdays on TVA. She participates as a mentor for one of the two girls' teams and according to a video posted on the show's website, she thinks she has a good chance of winning because she is the only woman among the three mentors and because she herself has already participated in a reality TV show. We wish her the best of luck!
Today, the beautiful Elisabetta is the proud mother of a little girl and lives in Miami. Although she no longer resides in our beautiful province, she remains a great source of inspiration and a Quebec success of which we can be proud!

La réponse – Elles sont toutes les deux de l’artiste Kevin Ledo à Montréal, Québec.
Kevin a fait la manchette à Montréal avec la fresque murale récemment complétée de 9 étages de Leonard Cohen sur la façade du bâtiment Cooper sur le boulevard St-Laurent. Passant de 10 à 12 heures salissante par jour dans une nacelle de grue pendant plus de trois semaines pour terminer ce monument colossal, il se sent honoré d’avoir été choisi pour cette pièce spéciale dans le cadre du 5ème festival d'art public international Mural de Montréal.
Les résidents du Plateau Mont-Royal ont avidement documenté le progrès - les médias sociaux bourdonnant du plaisir de voir ce bâtiment transformé en un bel hommage au regretté Leonard Cohen qui vivait à proximité.
Né et élevé à Montréal, l'art et la peinture ont toujours été un mode de vie pour Kevin. Une vie qu'il partage maintenant avec le monde. Montréal, Vancouver, Toronto, les États-Unis, le Mexique, le Portugal, la Jordanie, le Brésil, le Costa Rica sont maintenant ornés avec ses peintures murales peintes à la bonbonne.
Kevin était l'un des 4 artistes interviewés pour contribuer à notre boutique de Montréal. Après avoir ressenti l'ambiance du magasin, Kevin a eu l'idée du bruant des neiges, un oiseau qui niche dans le grand nord et dont la descente vers le sud annonce l'arrivée de l'hiver. Les oiseaux apportent une synergie entre Infusio notre bar à thé et Espace Mix Mix, boutique spécialisée dans les vêtements d'extérieur durant les mois d’hiver.
Passez à notre succursale de Montréal, située au 936 Rachel Est, pour admirer son travail. Détendez-vous dans notre bar à thé et choisissez-vous un article parmi notre large gamme de marques québécoises.

Annie Pelletier – An Inspiring Woman

Annie Pelletier is recognized for her diving career, which earned her a bronze medal in the three-meter springboard at the 1996 Summer Olympics. That's no small feat! In fact, in 2008, she was inducted into the Quebec Sports Hall of Fame… that's no small feat either!!
Annie Pelletier is now retired from her diving career, but that doesn't mean she spends her days playing bridge! We've seen her on television as a sports presenter, an analyst during diving events (2000, 2004, 2008, 2012, and 2016), and as a spokesperson for Village Vacances Valcartier (One day is not enough!). Even there, we can't say she's twiddling her thumbs!
In addition to all that, since 2005, Annie Pelletier has been the Communications Director for the Fondation de l’athlète d’excellence du Québec (a foundation whose aim is to "support student-athletes financially in their pursuit of academic and athletic excellence and to contribute to the promotion of role models in Quebec society.") AND (because no, that's not all!!) she has also been the godmother of Special Olympics (whose mission is to enrich, through sport, the lives of people with intellectual disabilities) since 1997. Plenty to be proud of!!
We cannot mention all her accomplishments without mentioning the one that certainly had the greatest impact on her life… that of giving life! Indeed, Annie has been a proud mother since December 2015! We can add that to her long list ;)

We were delighted to recently welcome Chantal Desjardins to our Montreal boutique to discuss the Fall-Winter 2017 trends. It was such a pleasure to learn that she supports local businesses as much as she can! I'll let you read her article HERE to learn more ;)

For those who don't know her, Chantal Desjardins is a radio and television host specializing in sports broadcasts. Although she was born in Winnipeg, Chantal Desjardins chose Quebec to settle down and build her career because, let's face it... it's such a good place to live!
For the past few years, she has joined Sportsnet and co-hosts all regional broadcasts for the Montreal Canadiens (with John Bartlett and Jason York). It's refreshing to have a female voice on a sports channel!
As if she hadn't already won the hearts of Quebecers with her hosting, Chantal Desjardins has also proven herself on the comedy scene. She has performed several times in comedy clubs where we could discover her talents as a comedian!
And to make us love her even more, she is also involved in several organizations such as The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society of Canada and has participated in several fundraisers for other charities.
Committed, charming, and funny... we're really happy that Chantal Desjardins chose to make Quebec her home! And just for fun, we'll leave you with one of her Twitter posts that made us cry with laughter!

As you already know, Guy Laliberté is the founder of Cirque du Soleil, the first circus created by a Quebecer and renowned worldwide. Born in Quebec City, he moved to Saint-Bruno as a child, following his artistically-inclined mother and entrepreneurial father. From his adolescence, he became interested in the accordion, folk dance, stilts, and fire-breathing. At 18, he left for Paris with a few dollars in his pocket and improvised as a street performer for several months. In 1979, he returned to Baie-Saint-Paul, in Charlevoix, where he met Gilles Sainte-Croix, a stilt walker who helped him improve his stilt skills, and where he crossed paths with a childhood friend, Daniel Gauthier, who naturally had a keen business sense. He then spent a few winters entertaining crowds under the warm Hawaiian sun, which inspired the Cirque's logo. With the help of his companions, he then organized the Baie Saint-Paul Fair in 1982, the popularity of whose closing shows led to the formation of Cirque du Soleil in 1984. He thus contributed not only to promoting Quebec but also to developing circus arts as an artistic discipline, combining art and acrobatics in his shows. The Cirque conquered the United States in 1987, Europe in 1990, and Japan in 1992, then signed a ten-year contract in 1993 for the Mystère show in Las Vegas. Guy Laliberté has received several awards, testifying to his immense talent as an entrepreneur and artist, including the National Order of Quebec in 1997 and the Order of Canada insignia in 2004, the most prestigious Quebec and Canadian distinctions, and even an honorary doctorate from Laval University in Quebec City in 2008. Cirque du Soleil has always wanted to leave a social footprint and, since its beginnings, has asserted itself as an agent of change. This is demonstrated by the establishment of its head office and the creation of TOHU, City of Circus Arts and the national circus school in the Saint-Michel district of Montreal, to promote the revitalization of this area, the founding of Cirque du Monde, an artistic training program for disadvantaged youth from around the world, and the annual allocation of 1% of its revenues to social and cultural initiatives. One of the Cirque's core values is the conviction that every small individual action can make a significant difference. Founded almost thirty years ago, the Cirque now employs approximately 4,000 people from some forty different nationalities.
There is also the One Drop Foundation, created in 2007 by Mr. Laliberté with his generous initial contribution, which also has a humanitarian mission: to raise public awareness of the global issue of water scarcity and promote access to drinking water for the most underprivileged, as represented by its slogan "Water for all, all for water." Inspired by water and having grown up in the land of water, it is the dreamer in him who wants to mobilize us all to change the world, as evidenced by his shows and the power of the collective. Rather extravagant, Guy Laliberté was the first to have the original idea of undertaking an artistic and social space mission in 2009, a journey to the International Space Station aboard the Russian Soyuz rocket!
